Description

Our pottery workshop offers a unique and immersive experience that blends tradition with innovation.

We start by introducing learners to the fundamental techniques of pottery. You'll get your hands dirty from the start, learning the art of centering clay on the wheel - a mesmerizing process that demands both precision and patience. Our experienced teachers will be with you every step of the way, ensuring you feel confident and inspired.

By the end of our wheel-throwing experience, you won't just leave with a collection of stunning pottery; you'll possess a profound understanding of the wheel-throwing process. You'll be equipped with the skills to create functional and artistic ceramics independently.

But it's not just about pottery; it's about personal growth and creative expression. Wheel throwing is a therapeutic journey that fosters mindfulness, patience, and self-discovery.

How to prepare

To prepare for our wheel-throwing pottery experience, learners should take a few simple steps to ensure they have an enjoyable and productive workshop: 1. Dress Comfortably: Wear clothing that you don't mind getting dirty. Pottery can be messy, so it's best to wear comfortable attire that you can easily clean afterward. 2. Long Hair Tie-Back: If you have long hair, bring a hair tie or clip to keep your hair away from the clay and pottery wheel. 3. Trim Nails: Short nails are more practical when working with clay. Trim your nails to prevent them from getting in the way or damaging the clay. 4. Bring an Apron: While we provide aprons, you're welcome to bring your own if you prefer. An apron will help protect your clothing from clay splatters. 5. Arrive with Enthusiasm: Come with an open mind and a willingness to learn. No prior pottery experience is required, and our instructors will guide you every step of the way. 6. Expectations: Approach the experience with curiosity and patience. Pottery can be both challenging and rewarding, so be prepared to embrace the learning process and enjoy the journey. 7. Mindfulness: Embrace the meditative aspect of pottery. Consider bringing a calm and focused mindset to fully enjoy the therapeutic benefits of working with clay.
