Description

Let's have fun and create a bond together through art to experience and understand what it feels like from touch, smell, taste *hehe*, patterns and texture through the 'Food Portrait Art Workshop'. There will be friends to make, food to taste and fun interactions to hear each other's stories inspired by food. For beginners, we will use materials that are dry sweets which are the best for beginners. We will use your food materials to guide you to create your portrait based on a template provided by us. We will be creating one (1) face portrait outline for the participants. Guided by Selangor based artist, Faye Lim from The Rojak Projek, this workshop will bring a piece of Malaysia into your home (and stomach!) Note: After we're done with the artwork, there will be other MALAYSIAN FOOD/KUEH!!!

How to prepare

Location: Gallery Hybrid, Lobby @ National Art Gallery Please note! Do not go to the National Art Gallery Museum, our workshop is at the 'white building' (beside the museum). Feel free to reach out at +6012-944 2077 if you have an issue to find the location. --------- PROGRAM: 15 mins: Short introduction of The Rojak Projek 1 1/2 hours: Demonstration and workshop session. The artist will guide and teach the participants how to create the artworks together and eat half way in the process (it happens). The 'Photographer' will then capture the artworks when it's completed by the individuals. 15 mins: End with a group photo and clean up. 30 mins: Additional Food/Kueh Tasting Session
