Description

Normally its dirty hands clean action but in this case its Vans from painting 😉 I will brief and share with them my own personal experience/challenges being a full-time graffiti writer based in Malaysia, the fundamentals & insights of the real graffiti culture/style-writing in general. I will break down the basic tips and tricks on how to make your very first graffiti letter/piece. Teaching them how to balance out the letter with extensions and flow. I will kickstart by introducing to them the actual mediums or materials I normally use to paint/sketch graffiti from paper to walls. I will bring my set of spray paint or equipment used to paint. Before they sketch their own tag name or character I will ask everyone in the room to sketch a simple word given by me and from there they will see each individual will produce the same word with a different style and flow. Then they can produce their own personal graffiti piece on totes or any personal item they have with them.

How to prepare

To prepare for the experience, learners just have to come with an open mind and their personal item to paint on (totes will be provided), take a stroll around the city and try to spot some graffiti pieces/tags, and share what you think of graffiti on the streets personally on the event day.
