Description

Join us at: Location: The Shed, Taman Tugu Date: 25th February Time: 3pm In this upcycling workshop, a refugee artisan trainer + assistant from Earth Heir will guide you to turn used carpets into (easy-to-make) cute triangular mini pouches which can be used as cable holders, etc. Earth Heir creates exquisitely hand crafted pieces infused with contemporary design and sustainable practices, made by a network of artisans in Malaysia, ranging from rural women, indigenous tribes, refugees and differently abled persons. Each piece carries a human story of master craftsmanship and enduring traditions. Earth Heir is the first B Corp and WFTO certified social enterprise in Malaysia. We believe in living consciously and advocate for ethical partnerships that respect people and nature. The Taman Tugu guided walk will cover 1.5km of the Taman Tugu trails. This will take about 45mins. During the walk, participants will learn more about the background and history of the site, interesting facts of the trails or trees or plants, the role of forests and the initiatives taken to help preserve and conserve this 66-acre green lung. Do wear comfortable shoes and attire for the nature walk! The journey towards a more sustainable future starts today. Hope to see you there!
