Upcycle old skateboards into functional and stylish stools. In this hands-on class, you'll be guided through the process of creating your own unique stool using recycled skateboards and a wooden frame. You'll also learn about the basics of woodworking and design as you create a one-of-a-kind piece of furniture. No prior experience is necessary, and all materials and tools will be provided.

How to prepare

All materials and tools will be provided for the workshop, so participants don't need to bring anything except for their creative spirit. However, we recommend wearing comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes suitable for working with tools and materials. You may also bring any inspiration or design ideas you have for your stool. Please note that all participants are required to arrive at the venue 10 minutes before the scheduled workshop starts in order to fully enjoy the experience. The workshop will be held at Vans Gurney Plaza, and the address is 170-G-71, Gurney Plaza, 170, Persiaran Gurney, Pulau Tikus, 10250 George Town, Pulau Pinang. As there are limited slots available, we kindly request that only those who are certain of their attendance sign up. Any cancellations must be made at least 1 hour before the workshop starts. Please be advised that if you are running late, we kindly request that you inform us in advance. If you arrive 15 minutes late without prior notice, we reserve the right to release your slot to walk-in participants to ensure the timely commencement of the workshop. We strive to provide equal opportunities for all participants and appreciate your cooperation.
