Description
Drawing from observation literally means to draw what you see. The idea is simple, but our brains are often so smart that we tend to draw what we think we should see. Life drawing is a very good practice to train our hand-eye coordination, develop observational skills and spatial awareness.
We work with different timed poses with the art model throughout the session, starting with the short poses where we can warm ourselves up with some quick gesture drawings, which will help us ease into the longer poses.
Our life drawing sessions welcome all levels of drawing experiences. This is not a class, but a facilitator will be there to guide you should you need help to get started, or need guidance during the session.
Drawing boards and easels are provided on a first come first serve basis. You are encouraged to bring your own drawing materials, but if it's your first time and you have nothing, fret not, there are papers and basic art supplies like charcoal, graphite pencil and pastel for your use at the studio with a minimum donation of RM5.
