Learn the the step-by-step process to growing mushrooms at home with Dr Chan Pick Kuen. This workshop will show you the whole life cycle of mushroom and how it is grown commercially from tissue culture to harvesting. It will also show how you can grow them on a small scale using simple methods and minimal equipment. This workshop is suitable for beginners with no prior experiences needed.
From the workshop, you will make a mushroom block from a substrate of ready to use sawdust mix and mushroom spawn, learn about tissue culture and also how you can cultivate mushrooms using used ground coffee.
