Description
Making paper is a very fascinating experience as the medium holds boundless potential and creative possibilities from the type of plant fibres you use to make the paper, to adding dye to create different hues of paper and even adding dried leaves, flowers and glitter to your paper!
There are many ways to make paper, including Eastern & Western techniques that involve dipping or pouring. All these techniques allow you to create unique, handcrafted sheets from recycled papers or plant materials.
This workshop will bring you through the five stages in papermaking:
1. Pulp preparation - basic knowledge on the two different types of pulp
2. Making paper
3. Couching
4. Pressing
5. Drying
