Description
This Nyonya shoe embroidery workshop offers participants the opportunity to learn the art of bead embroidery in just 2.5 hours for only RM 599 per person. During the workshop, participants will be guided on how to bead and embroider. The unfinished work will be completed at home and sent back to manekNya upon completion to be crafted into a pair of shoes.
Participants can choose their own design or draw their own patterns of their choice and learn how to bead embroider in the Peranakan way.

manekNya was founded by two Peranakan sisters, Swee Lin and Swee May, who shared a passion for preserving and promoting their cultural heritage. Both were drawn to the intricate beauty of this craft, and their love for it eventually led them to start this venture together. manekNya's helped to elevate the designs, and bring a fresh perspective to traditional Nyonya's beadwork and create a brand that celebrates and modernizes the art of beading.
