Description
Join us at:
Location: The Shed, Taman Tugu
Date: 24th February
Time: 3pm
The workshop will be run by Wasu, a community-based organisation committed to promoting a sustainable lifestyle through creative recycling and upcycling of food waste. We acknowledge the growing issue of waste and landfills and strive to offer an environmentally friendly alternative for community members to dispose of their waste. By transforming food waste into useful and environmentally conscious products, WASU endeavors to not only minimise waste, but also raise awareness about the significance of sustainable practices.
The facilitator, Hung Bee Ling is dedicated to promoting sustainability by using natural and recycled materials to create functional and beautiful objects for everyday use. Believing in living in harmony with the environment, Bee Ling constantly seeks new ways to advance sustainability in both personal and community settings.
The Taman Tugu guided walk will cover 1.5km of the Taman Tugu trails. This will take about 45mins. During the walk, participants will learn more about the background and history of the site, interesting facts of the trails or trees or plants, the role of forests and the initiatives taken to help preserve and conserve this 66-acre green lung. Do wear comfortable shoes and attire for the nature walk!
The journey towards a more sustainable future starts today. Hope to see you there!
