Did you know that dams are an important source of energy in Borneo?
Learn how energy can change from one form to another. Also, how the people in Borneo use water to generate electricity in hydroelectric plants. Gain an insight into how art can be used for good - discover how Sabah-based art activist group, Pangrok Sulap (https://pangroksulap.com/) work with Lightup Borneo (https://www.facebook.com/lightupborneo/), a Civil Society Initiative, to light up and bring electricity to off-grid interior rural Orang Asal villages in Sabah, Sarawak and Peninsular Malaysia, who are still living in darkness after sunset!
Then build your own DIY hydro wheel and see for yourself how this energy works in action!
The session will be conducted in English. All materials will be provided.
*IMPORTANT NOTE: Aside from the workshop fee for each child, please note that accompanying adults will also need to purchase an entry ticket to the main Tamu (Tamu entry is free for children).
