About Us

United we stand

"Know me for my abilities, not my disability" - Robert Hensel

United Voice (UV) is the first society in Malaysia that is led by persons with learning disabilities which was registered in July 2005. Our members (120 members) include persons with Down Syndrome, Autism, Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder, Global Developmental Delay, Cerebral Palsy and other specific learning disabilities.

United Voice is a unique and vibrant self-advocacy group not only in Malaysia but also within the Asian Region. We are the anchoring self-advocacy group that is active and has significant achievement in the self-help movements in Malaysia. We believe that Self-Advocacy is a necessary movement to ensure that the quality of life for persons with learning disabilities continue to progress as our country moves towards being an industrialized nation.
